These instructions are essential to followβ¦
DAY 1β¦ 2 to 3 hours after treatment, gently clean the area with a very small amount of water on a cotton pad, barely damp, not wet. Do this 2 to 4 times a day to avoid buildup of blood/lymph on the area.
DAY 2 & 3β¦ When you wake up gently wipe the area with a small amount of water on a soft cloth or cotton pad. Be extra careful not to rub the brows hard, tug or scrub the brows as this could pull a scab out and the color. Do this 2 to 4 more times today to avoid any buildup of blood/lymph. Using a cotton swab you may apply a very small (half the size of a grain of rice) amount of AFTER INKED that we supply to your brows. This is just to add a small amount of moisture. The brows should not appear greasy, glossy or shiny and if they do you have used too much. Do not use aggressive movement and /or manipulation of the skin β¦must be gentle. Make sure your hands are clean before touching your brows.
DAY 4~14β¦ gently clean the brow area with a damp cloth using a very gentle, mild cleanser, such as Cetaphil and rinse very lightly with water. Gently pat dry. If your brows feel tight or dry, you may apply an extremely thin layer of the AFTER inked or Aquaphor, after cleansing the brows.
WHAT TO AVOID FIRST 10 DAYSβ¦
* NO Shower steam over the brows. Wash face carefully with a washcloth or cleansing wipes, avoiding any harsh maneuver over your brow.
*Sweating
*Exercising
*Sports
*Swimming
*Saunas
*Hot baths and Jacuzzi
*Sun or Salon Tanning
*Laser or chemical treatments, peelings, and or any creams containing Retin-A, or Glycolic Acid
*NO Picking, peeling, or scratching of the brow area, as you will cause scarring of the area or removal of the pigment.
* Touching of the eyebrow area, except for when rinsing and applying the post care with a cotton swab.
* NO Ointments, antibiotic creams or gels over brow area as it will draw out pigment.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR SESSION β¦
Your eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle.
Days 1~4β¦ the pigment will appear very sharp and dark. This is because the pigment is still sitting on the top of your skin. It has not yet settled in completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually and heal up 30 to 40% lighter than what you see from days two through five. Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab, as this is excess pigment, and or body fluid, that is naturally exiting your skin. Your brows may swell and appear larger and can be sore and red while healing. They will shrink down once healed.
Days 5~10β¦ once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes. Dry skin or more scabbing can occur if shading or powder brow were performed. This might give you the impression that the pigment is fading to quickly, however, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows.
Days 8~12⦠your brows may look as though the pigment has completely faded, but do not panic⦠Take a deep breath and trust the process !
Days14~28β¦ your brows may still look a little patchy or uneven, but the pigment will start to reappear as the pigment settles, and the healing continues. You may get your touchup/perfecting procedure done 8 to 10 weeks, but no sooner to allow for complete healing of the brows. Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF, 30 or 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun sun exposure, my calls, the color pigment to fade quickly!!
